Twenty Thirteen

02 Jan 2013

My time at the Australian Medical Council will end towards the end of this month. I had a good 3 years with a great team, but it’s time for me to move on. I felt it was also time to move on from Canberra, the city I love to hate and one I have lived in for the past 8 years. I haven’t exactly been the biggest ambassador for the city, so it is probably for the best all round.

I’ve looked at a number of places to move on to. Melbourne has always stood out as my home town. But having looked back over the last 3 years, what I really enjoy is travel. I looked at a few countries I have enjoyed in the past and life there really appealed. And with local inspiration from the ever-moving Tim Riley, I felt I needed to go and see what it’s like for myself.

So, on 21 March 2013 I will be shoving two suitcases full of my life so far and moving to the UK. I have no idea what lies in store for me after that.

For those of you that know me in person, I hope to see you all before I go. I will be at the Sydney RORO meetup in February, RubyConf AU 20-22 February 2013, and Railscamp NZ 22-25 March 2013 (on my way to London).

All in all this is a very exciting time. Maybe i’ll even get to play a full werewolf game before I go.
